“The blameless spend their days under the Lord’s care, and their inheritance will endure forever. In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty.” (Psalm 37:18-19, NIV) You know I have often wondered as I read through the Psalms who on earth the psalmist is talking about, because half the time when I read the Psalms, especially in something like the one I have quoted above, I think this can’t possibly be talking about me. Fishing for people
As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen… (Matt 4:18, NIV) Good morning Church. I have always wondered why Jesus didn’t go to the synagogue and grab theologians or go to the temple and grab priests to build His church while he was here conducting his earthly ministry all those years ago. Praying in accordance with His will
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us: And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. (1 Jn 5:14-15) Good morning church. It’s wonderful to be together as the church of Christ to publicly worship our risen Saviour together. God builds the church
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
